Maurice Lopez also known as (Moe Moe) has been DJing in the bay area since 1986. He was first influenced by electronic sound being a part of the break dance community growing up in San Jose and his initial music selection became freestyle and high energy. It wasn’t until 1992 that he was introduced to house music and all the genres that go along with it; such as breakbeat, deep house, progressive, electro, funky disco, tribal and tech house.
Moe Moe has been fortunate enough to perform at many clubs in San Francisco, such as Ruby Skye, 1015 Folsom, DNA Lounge, End Up, Mighty, and around the world, London, Miami, and Denver. He has also had the opportunity to play along side some of the finest bay area DJs, David Harness, Pete Avila, B.B. Hayes, Norman Stradley, Nobel, and Rick Preston.
In 2005 while at the Burning Man festival, Moe Moe was introduced to the Pink Mammoth Camp, where he was asked to play a set. Since then he has been a part of the Pink Mammoth family. He will always remember and cherish the first sunrise he had with Pink Mammoth. This was such an amazing and unforgettable experience that this is what always keeps him coming back for more.
